Introduction of Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan’s Friendship

Friendship & brotherhood among the Indian cricketers are famous. They always share good bonds and are helpful towards each other. They can play in the opponent teams in the IPL, however, they never forget their friendship. One of those kinds of examples we saw in the last match of Punjab Kings & Mumbai Indians. Rohit Sharma & Shikhar Dhawan are one of the finest opening duos of Indian cricket history ever. Especially, in the white ball format, they had their supremacy. Although Shikhar is out of the ground right now due to his, however, just before the match they were seen sharing a warm hug.

In spite of the absence of Shikhar, PBKS gave a good fight to MI. Chasing 193, Ashutosh Sharma smashed 28 balls & scored 61 runs. However, this wonderful knock went in vain because MI defeated PBKS by 9 runs.

While hugging Rohit, Shikhar was seen as really happy. Well, we feel supremely happy about it. Do you know why? It is because Shikhar is not spending a good time in his personal field. He is not able to play right now and along with that, he is going through a hard separation from his son, Zoravar. He married Ayesha Mukherjee in October 2012 & after eight years together, the couple divorced. The separation was finalised by a Delhi court on grounds of “cruelty” inflicted on Dhawan. However, even after paying a huge amount, he is still far away from his son. His son Zoravar lives in Australia with his mother.

Recently, shared a heartfelt post for his son Zoravar during this intense cricket season. Dhawan posted photographs on social media of himself wearing a special jersey imprinted with his son Zoravar’s name and the number of the jersey was 1. The jersey and his message, “You’re Always with Me, My Boy”. it simply signifies his love for his son and how much he is missing him.

In spite of so many personal issues, Shikhar’s performance in this IPL season has been quite impressive. He has scored 152 runs across five games, maintaining an average of 30.40 and a strike rate of 125.61, with his highest score being 70. Kudos to his dedication & professionalism that he is still performing so greatly even after going through this much mental pain. We hope that the company of Rohit will help him to heal a bit.

Point table scenario:

It is a fact that Dhawan has been a constant performer for his team and PBKS is fighting, however, currently, they are holding the 9th position in the point table. PBKS has won only 2 matches and lost 5 out of the 7 matches they have played so far. PBKS have 4 points and has an NRR (Net Run Rate) of -0.251.

Well, the situation of Mumbai Indians is also not great in this season. They are holding the 7th position in the point table. They have won 3 matches & lost 4 out of the 7 matches they have played. MI has 6 points and an NRR of -0.133.
